I'm upto 6 'perfect push-ups'...which means stopping an inch or two from touching and going back up. All the way down type pushups I can do 30-40. :/ Allways amazes me how much effort it is to stop with that gap and head back up.

I'm still only at the halfway mark. sad.gif
I'd try to be all motivational to myself by saying that I'm at the top of the hill and it's all downhill from now on...but actually it's more like I climbed to the top of the hill only to realize I started on a mountain.

whatever you do dont give up.

And also keep in mind it is going to get tougher. the first amount of weight that is lost is usually pretty easy, but after the initial weight it seems to be a struggle for almost every pound.

Just keep focused on the end goal.

If you need any help / advice let me know.. I have pretty much been there and done that and think I have stumbled across just about every aspect of dieting / weight loss etc.

Speaking of which.

My son increased his max bench on Tuesday to 225 pounds one rep.

He is catching up to me. I am starting to feel sore trying to keep the bar raised for him. Elbow is hurting today lol.

On Tuesday I did 240 for 5 reps, then 225 for 10 reps.

I think I hurt it last night when we did a modified version of 21's, instead of doing 7 low curls, 7 high curls then 7 full range curls we did 15, 15 15 for a total of 45 reps with 70 pounds.

I started and I honestly didnt think he was going to be able to hang, well he did. whatever I throw at him he takes it and asks for more lol..
I can relate... I used to teach tennis and when my two boys were old enough I had them out on the court. After a few years they got pretty good. When they got to be about 13 I started to really push them... ERROR. Now, I just yell "Good Shot" and go pick up the ball. I consider it a good set if I don't get hit by their serves - damn kids, no respect for old people laugh.gif laugh.gif

They are now both over 30 and play golf. Problem is that they are both 6'5" and hit the ball out of sight...... now I just yell "Mulligan".

Gettin old is crap!

+1 it does get harder. i been there done that. what i did was STAYED CONSISTENT ran EVERYDAY

if you always push yourself to go a little farther (for me it was on treadmill) till your jogging about 6mi. (about78min.) (about 1000 calories) you WILL see steady results.

just a rule of thumb..keep your heart rate at 80% (you should be able to talk and walk(or jog).this will give you the most percentage of fat burn. your body starts using faster burning fuels over 80%.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS STAY ANABOLIC! If you can do whey protein in water, it is a great way to stay anabolic w/ little calories.

i am also hear for you bro. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK clap.gif
