I managed just over 4700 miles on my Bridgestone Battleax and that was on my GSXR750. Lots of aggressive driving on the twisties and no burnouts.

Dudes,
I never considered myself as a slouch when riding.
I've been riding for 20 years. I have two Busa's (00/05)
but I just got 14,800 miles from a set of BT-10s. Thats
front and back. Now I ride daily to SF to work about
114 mile total. I ride out at the lake on the twistys
every weekend. You guys must be tearing up some road
getting only 5-6 thousand out of tires. GGGGoooolllllyyyyy!

I got 15k and some change on my stock shoes... currently running the M1s with 2,500 and change... looks like I could get another 2K out of the rear....

Tire wear is a strange animal on the Busa. I have gotten over 3k and down to 770 miles out of a rear. It just depends on the tire and riding style....

Got 2500 out of the stock, Got 1500 on a Metzler Sportec M1P and it is getting some good wear. I would love to get 5k or more out of tires but it just doesn't happen with my riding style. If you don't want to change it out often then get a hard compound tire but don't expect great traction. I would rather spend some change on a good tire and have the traction in the twisties and at the track then try to save some money and loose it in a hard corner.
