We had a pleasant 85 degrees here today. I agree with you though in regards to wearing leather year round. I wear leather as well and have a textile jacket in my closet that I have not worn for years.

Just did a 50 mile wet loop of Miami. Part of the motorcycling experience is riding in the heat, rain, dust, cold, flurry's (not sticking), and in traffic.

wet your tshirt, put your jacket on and ride....redneck a/c and if it doesnt make you grin you might have an issue and your shirt is dry by the time you hit your destination if you are on it for 20 min or so
