HID's

i been thinking about going with some HID's in my 05 i dont really ride to much at night because my eye sight isnt that great but occasionally i do go out for the night ride ive seen so many kits and they very so much in price ive seen them as low as 40 bucks and as high as 300 i do want high and low beam
does anyone have any ideas of which kind to buy and where from plus how hard is this to do ive had the bike apart many times but never had the front off or the dash

Here is a link to a thread I did for mine as well as thread from person who helped me.
It is a genII so I dont know how diff the headlight or electronics are from one to another. I got the HIDs from DDM tuning.
All the info is there but if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Lots of members here use the DDM's. Good product.

But if I may...I always recommend you start w/ the board sponsors. Lots of them carry high quality HIDS.

How diff of an install is it going to be for him on a GenI ?

My friend is going to his Gen 1 because he likes mine and that is a good question. How difference is it? Can you get to the lights by removing the gages like on the Gen2?

The high beam is not really needed with a H.I.D. get a 5k or 6k setup and you will not be sorry. got mine from Xenonking in 2004 and it is still working flawlessly. Have never even thought about high beam since install. Mine is the 5k, most useable light.
