yes the ad makes sense and I have said it all before...slider that is too high or too tall will cause the bike to barrel roll and total your bike. A slider that is too low offers no protection OR it also will cause the bike to barrel roll. The busa's fairing shape makes producing such protection IMPOSSIBLE. NONE SEEM TO WORK EXCEPT TO SAVE AT LOW SPEED OR PARKING LOT DROPS. Problem with what he is offering is.....delron sliders are designed to melt as the bike slides on them. As they melt they will get shorter. His sliders height is sooooo close to the panel thickness.....you wouldn't slide very far before you hit your plastics anyway.
FRAME SLIDERS WERE NEVER DESIGNED TO SAVE PLASTICS. THEY ARE DESIGNED TO SAVE YOUR MOTOR.
Here are your options:
1. Cut your fairing thus wasting the cost of your OEM panels and spend $50-75 on the fairing through sliders
2. Buy "no cut" sliders and have them bent and tweek on your bike destroying your plastics and possible your frame for $50-$300.
3. Buy insurance and take the hit if you crash. Get a new bike or fix the mistakes.
4. Buy an appropriate size bike for your abilities and size and learn to ride and handle it. I have personally owned 8 hayabusas, multiple turbo hayabusas and over 30 550+ lbs bikes.....NONE OF THEM I HAVE DROPPED EVER!!!!

Yes it makes sense But I am going to agree with suzuki4life on this one. Personally I think frame sliders are good footrests but they do not do their intended purpose. Just make it more of a pain to get the plastics off after a wreck. Personally I just use my insurance.

you guys need to try the lsl sliders I know they work...Even though I drag race i never use sliders...
