Hi Everyone,

I hope you can help me ..

I just bought my Hayabusa .. after 15 years .. I made it.

I bought it with 14000 Km the model is K6.

The previous owner almost never was in the country and he traded it for a smoother one :)

The bottom line here is,

The bike was parked for 3 years and when I plugged a new battery she came alive with no problems.

The next thing I noticed was that before she starts, the display was CHEC written but she started with no issues.

Can you help me to find the correct code for any fault and please can you show me the service manual for it?

Please ..

Thanx

Regards

When the emergency switch is on, it is normal for "CHEC" to be displayed.
When the emergency switch is turned off, the time should display.

So from what you have written it seem normal.

Congrats on the new to you bike.

Where are you located?

If you remove the driver seat you may be able to see a white plug on the left side of the battery with 2 wires going to it. If you can't see it you will need to remove the tail section. Once you find it take a paperclip or wire and short the 2 wires and in place of the 'CHEC' you will find the codes displayed. Remember, this must be done before power is turned off as codes are not maintain in the ECU once power is turned off. Once you have the codes you can look in the owner's manual to find their meaning.
