Has anyone ever installed a heated insert in your seat? If you have what brand did you use, the process, and overall impression?

I have on 4wheelers/atvs before.
Very simple.
Google, ebay, amazon, etc, find a heating element in the correct size, and a fuseable link and controller(an adjustable thermostat is much better than just on or off too).
Pull the seat cover, cut out some foam, put the element in, put foam back over it, route the wire through the bottom of the seat foam, recover and done.

Here's my recent thread on seat modification.
It shows the process, just instead of cutting a groove in the seat foam, you're just removing a half inch to one inch thick square or rectangle to put the heating element under(never put the element on top of the foam, directly against the cover).

They Really help after dark, or on a cold cloudy day, without as much sunshine to keep you warm.
My brother has it on his BMW, he's owned it for many years and has never turned it on even in cold weather...he will use his hand warmers though...

I have them in my truck and have only used them for a minute or two.

I personally can ride in temperatures around freezing, wearing winter gear, with the only heated things being gloves.
So long as I'm in the sunlight, I'm fine.
But, in the shade, or after sundown, I Need a heated vest, heated socks and a heated seat...which I currently don't have, lol

As a member of CAR (candy assed riders), if it is cold enough for heated bars, seats and the like, I take my truck...
