I did find out yesterday while at Smithers that my upper fairing stay is bent :banghead: so I need to find one of those. Probably go the ebay route, going to go scavenge the classifieds here first though.

Just started the basic design of the side mount. The bracket from the the mount to the plate will change as I don't like the style. I will probably go with something with more of a swoop. I'll keep playing around with that part.

I need to have the bike in hand to hard set all the angles and offsets. Right now this is just early preliminary stuff.

I just read through this thread and it seems as though, your accident was a blessing in disguise! I am impressed on your resourcefulness! Glad to hear that you are in good health and I can't wait to see this bike finished! Congrats man!!

I don't know if you meant to do this but the arc on your plate mount is inverted from what you usually see. It'll make a unique piece either way. Do you have any plans to put anything on the other rearset bracet?

The license bracket design is BADASS! I'll like to have one for my K8.

Yeah I inverted it on purpose, I always felt like the other way was ridiculous. It's like a little parachute, this seemed like a better aero design to me, however minimal it may be.

Went down to Smithers over an extended lunch hour to see the bike tuned.

The bike made 165 hp with high air temps.

Hopefully the video quality improves after YouTube processes the video further.

Went and picked up the bike on Friday. Rode it up and down the street once, it's feels great and the exhaust sounds amazing on the street.

I am really happy with the ride height now, going to have to be carefull once the fairings are on of course though. Snapped a picture yesterday while we were over working on it. I wasn't riding it (considering the attire), just sitting on it to see the ride height with my weight.

Also attached the dyno sheet from the first two runs.

I don't have the seat on in that pic so it makes it look even lower based on how my legs are bent.

Nope that isn't me on the other forum. I just always do build threads for my other hobby, Radio controlled rock crawlers

Thanks, I appreciate it. I can't wait to start bolting on these new parts. I think it will really start looking great once I get the fairings bolted on. :beerchug:

Thanks man, a got a set from a member on here a couple weeks ago.

My new upper fairing stay came in the mail today and that was pretty much the last part I needed. Just assembly and paint now...:cheerleader:
