Hard to start hot busa

after i ride it enough to get the engine warmed up real good then stop and kill it, it wont turn over hardly to start. after its been sitting an hour it'll crank over great. 2004 and original battery, do i need to change it or is this just normal, the bike is all stock. thanks.

have you had the jet's adjusted since it was stock? Mine got hard to start when warm after the tuner "richened" the mixture for me last time in the shop...

...or the battery.

The stock battery is weak.

Get a high output battery, 235cca, instead. Schnitz racing sells them.

It is your battery bro, mine does the same thing. If i have had the bike on the battery tender for a while before i ride it doesn't have a problem but if it has been charging off the bike alone it will be hard to start after a good long ride.

You either need a dual battery setup or the Yuasa that is just a little bit bigger than the busa battery but it still fits. I think i comes off of a goldwing so you can pick it up at any honda shop. Schnitz sells it but you can get a better deal elsewhere.
