"What was going on with your '02"....Well the problem started about a month ago. Right around 8k rpms the bike would just lose power until the rpms hit around 6-7k then it would kick back on. It wouldnt do it all the time, just everyonce & a while.. Well I was out today on it & it started doing that at around 5-6k but while in 1st the bike would actually stall out. Now my bike is pretty much stock other than air filter & tre. I took the TRE off just thinking that could be it, but it wasnt. Only thing I can think that it might be is the starter was leaking grease/oil out of it & it might have caused some electrical problems somewhere. Suzuki did cover the cost for the parts to be replaced for the starter...But can't figure out where the loss of power is coming from? So instead of trying to figure it out & spending more cash, just trade it in & get a new one
Just gotta say that it was really hard parting with my baby even though I was getting a new one.....

"What kind of problems were you having"---Big Dawg, I posted the problems a few postings up the page. Mainly started with the starter & then went to something electrical im thinking...Not too sure but rather than spending more money on it, figured might as well trade it in..I had just spent about 700 on new chain, sprockets, labor cost on starter, tires, & service.
