Hi everybody. I'm new to the site and busas. but, not to riding. A few months ago I got an 09 left over(0 miles) and love it. I haven't done much to it. but, as I found out here. there's a lot of people that think the gen II brakes suck(me included). anyways I've had found so much usefull info. in this site is amazing (thanks a lot for that guys:bowdown:). that includes the SS brake lines upgrade, HH brake pads upgrade, suspension adjustment and gsxr MC upgrade. I've done all of them except for the gsxr MC and.... wowwwww!! what a difference.
NOW this where my headaches started. I found an 09 gsxr MC on ebay for like 100 bucks and bought it. So, I decided to try the cheap chinesse levers (I know what a lot of u think about them). So, I went ahead and order an 09 gsxr 1000 brake shorty lever and a shorty black lever for my clutch to match it. Well, it took 2 weeks to get the levers and when I finally mounted the lever on my used(new to me) MC and put it on the bike, the stupid thing hits my panels on all the setting from 1 to 6.:banghead: So I ended up putting the stock MC. anybody had these problem before.??? or this what I get for buying chazzo levers.???

FYI the bikes height and the handle bars are stock. also my clutch chazzo lever don't touch the panel. just the brake with the new gsxr MC

any advice would be great!!! :please::please:

AND yes, yes I know the:rulez: so I attached some pics of my baby and the gsxr MC and levers.

yep!! I've been searching. But, the ones I've seen in here have heli bars too. So, they are not in the same situation as I am.

I did the inners myself using colorrite paint and for the stripes I took one of my side panels to napa and they mixed the paint for me. But, just for your info. I don't recommend using the colorrite spray cans because the base came out with like a grayish tint to it.(napa's blue and grey were a perfect match) So, I ordered some new inners from William zaldivar at race ready down in Miami. They are shipping them to me this week. I thought at first that they were charging to much for the smooth painted inners. But, after seeing how much work it is and spending a little over 200 in materials, I think their price is actually not bad. If u want I'll send u pics. Of those once I get them on the bike.

I was using a stock gsxr lever. But now I have a zx14 MC with a stock lever and it also clears just fine.

Thanks for the info. I figured it would work with the stock lever. But, the MC I got didn't come with one. :-/!!
