GPR steering damper

It is a nice part to dial in on the fly...very stiff or loose depending on what you want...I think you can get a rebuild kit / different fluid should it go bad. most of them are the same...the mount is bike specific and they can get stolen rather quick...just two bolts.

They are good for changing the riding feel, and mainly a preference.
No dampner will save you from a tank slapper.
Best thing they're for is keeping the bars straight for hands free low speed stunts...or if you like heavy stiff steering.

once on my 929, i was riding along and while going over a traincrossing, it was far bumpier than i expected and i got tank slapping as a result...it recovered quickly, but ever since that time, i've always had a GPR.

When i'm city riding it stays at a certain level - when i'm going for a highway jaunt, i turn it up a bit- you need to get used to having one cuz if you dont' turn it down once you get off the highway, good luck making that turn at the end! :p

Tankslap is bar to frame side to side.
Headshake is when the bars shake some side to side.
BIG difference.

Saw one on a bike, are they needed and are they worth it? thanks
