Using the Ext. Warranty again...Was on my way in from a ride Sunday nite and felt bad vibration in the grips...Moved my hands off the grips because they had gone numb and damn near went into a tank slapper...Made it to the next exit and the front was wobbling...Bearing went bad on the front...Took it to the shop and ext. warranty is gonna repair/replace...If anyone doesn't believe in warranty come see me...

I think yours was a recall issue...Mine is an 02 also...I haven't had any problems out of the starter so I haven't had it replaced...They have been good to me on warranty issues...Remember earlier this year they repaired the tranny...I paid right a $400 for mine and repairs would have totaled close to if not over $2K...

I wasn't so lucky. I recently replaced the starter motor and idler gear for about $500...

Suzuki really sucks when it comes to stuff like this. If the '02 had an issue and they upgraded the following year because they knew of the problem, then a recall should have been issued. That's the one thing I hate about Suzi.

It's my understanding that the recall covers the 02...I hope you didn't get shafted by your dealer...You can call or write Suzuki and inquire...
