Hey Guys

Friend of a friend has a set of used Busa wheels for sale here for short $.

$ is tight on my end, but i was thinking of picking them up so i could get them powdercoated (have a PC friend that owes me a favor).

Problem is, he doesnt know what year they are from.

Question is, is there anyway to tell just by looking at them if they are Gen 1 or 2??

Thanks

Thanks!

And can the wheels be powdercoated without removing the wheel bearings?

Thanks

I'm not sure on that , you'd have to ask the PC guy

I would not PC them without removing them. It would probably melt the grease out of them or damage the seals

Iv heard both arguments , I remove to be on the safe side. If ya can't do it yourself a shop shouldn't charge much to remove

Regarding powder coating. Had my wheels done - bearings removed first. Powder coating guy said if the bearings release any goop your new powder coating job will be junk.
