Gen 1 header and exhause slip ons, on a Gen 2?

I'm looking at a Gen 1 header with Yoshi slip ons for under $200 in good condition. I was wondering since the second gen is a slip on, not a bolt on, if I changed the header also. Would the Gen 1 header and slip ons fit my gen 2? Any help would be appreciated.

Gen 2 is not slip on...its a reverse bolt on of the gen 1...ie left can fit right side etc....unless yours already has aftermarket headers

Don't forget the Gen II bikes use an O2 sensor. You will have to have an O2 bung welded into the gen 1 header.

Much better to just go with a full system for a gen II.

I paid around $600 for my full Yosh system

For that price if it would bolt on to the gen II, I would buy it. If you cant weld the bung on for the O2 sensor, it can't cost that much for someone at any garage or muffler shop to weld it on for you.
