front sprocket

I need some help on this, I ordered a 17T front sprocket from the dealership the gave me a JTF513-17 i dropped off the bike and sprocket at my mechanic and next day he called and said it doesnt fit the spline on the 08 is bigger than on the sprocket, i caled the dealership and they said thats what was on the books for an 08 and they dont know of any other sprockets that would fit. Does anyone know a sprocket that will work.

That fits a 99-07 model. Not the 08.

Driven makes one and I think I saw where someone else release one. (vortex maybe)

I know Charles at street and track had some in stock.

thanks, how inaccurate will my speedo be after the change and do i need a speedo healer

Depends on how many teeth you add/drop.... But an average going one down up front or three up out back should be roughly 6% change in speedo! Now, thats in addition to what your already off...

someone told me that my odometer(show more miles than i have) and speedo will be off is that true? will the gps fix that
