Front Brake Caliper - Seals Question

Hi All,

I'm thinking of replacing all the seals in my front brake calipers, and am a bit confused by the parts diagrams and prices on bikebandit.com and ronayers.com, the two places I order stuff online.

If I'm reading the diagram correctly - looks like an entire piston and seal kit for one caliper is about $70, but if you order just the seals (all I really need) they come to about $400! Weird and confusing. Anyone ordered this stuff before and can comment on this?

Thanks,

Sko

seals should be around $60 for 2 sets. Whole kit with pistons is $70. You might as well replace it all.

Caliper and all is under $300 each

Thanks, sounds like I'm reading the parts fische correctly.

Still, that's really weird... why would they sell a complete piston kit with all the seals for one caliper for $70, but want to charge you something like 4-5 times that much for just the seals alone? :drooling3:

$120 for seals for both calipers....or
$140 for rebuild kit(seals and pistons) for both calipers.....or
$600 for both new calipers (ready to go)....
