I found my old 2008 gen2 for sale on Marketplace today, lol.
I bought it new, and traded it even at the local dealer for a Bking in late 2011, with almost 18k miles on it.
It's for sale for $4400 obo now...with almost 75k miles, and is about 15 minutes from the dealership.
The full dual Akropovic, Spiegler bars, Kontour seat, blue gages, and my Jesus fish on the tail are all still there too.
It now has chrome wheels and mirrors, but that's definately it.
Blast from the past, I had to share, lol

Always crazy when that happens....

At least you know it's journey continues and it's not in a wrecking yard somewhere....

For real
I don't know why it excited me so much, I guess it's because I have more memories in that particular bike than any of the countless others.
And it brought me here looking for how to remove the fairings without breaking them, for it's first oil change.
It still has the ProGrip 761's on it too!
lol

Got a spare key LOL
Back in the day I had a friend that got into a car and realized it wasn't his so he drove back and found his then drove home.
Speaking of this, years ago a friend of mine had a white Chev truck....he was at a mall and went out, got in his truck and started it up...then he realized it wasn't his truck....

He got out and saw his truck a couple spaces down....the owner of the truck he was just in came out and they got to talking and the other guy went over unlocked his truck and started it up...I guess those keys only have so many combinations...

OMG that must have been a funny and joyful moment and still in almost the same condition. I would say, buy it again, if not you’ll be sorry :p
A B-King, my goodness, how long have you had it? Was it worth it?

I kept the Bking over a year and a half, and had no regrets from the trade.
The Bking is a great bike, but at the time, I had grew tired of big and heavy bikes, and went back to my favorites, gsxr1000's.
I had no problem making the Bking do whatever I wanted it to either, and I flashed the ecu to an unrestricted Busa bin file(Ecu Editor), did a ram-air mod, got rid of the exhaust midpipe valve, a -1 front sprocket, and a few other things, which made it a completely different animal, an awesome bike, and Much more comfortable than the gen2 Busa.
Part of me would like the gen2 back, but I got rid of it because even after multiple seat, peg, and bar mods and combinations, I just couldn't make it comfortable.
The gen3 fixed this with a thinner gas tank at the seat, so I will get one of those eventually.
With 2 bikes of my own, and one that belongs to a friend, that I have kept as my own since new, so basically 3 bikes.
And lots of other projects, right now, I need another bike like I need a hole in the head, lol

Until I got to the part where it was sold I was gonna suggest @sixpack577 message the guy and tell him his story and to tell whoever buys it to come sign up here.
He was the guy who bought it in 2011 or 2012, and he came here after and we talked, he knew it's history.
He told me yesterday that it has been the best bike he ever owned, and that he just wanted something new with less miles.
