Are these spools? I'm guessing yes and if so do I need a specific kind of rear stand for them? Also what's their purpose? Thanks

Yessir those are spools.
They serve 3 purposes
1) you can use a pitbull stand to hoist up the back of the bike to so maintenance and cleaning
2) They in some cases protect your swing arm in a top over
3)aesthetics you can use them to dress up your bike.

Yes those are spools. Yes you will need a particular type of stand. They are common in any bike shop. There are many manufactures of these stands and you will several suggestions of the best. Such as this one

Thank you gentlemen for the fast responses! I'm going to see if the shop in Sav has a stand tomorrow that will work, I like the Pibulls but I do try to but locally if I can

Agreed! Gotta support the local guys. They are the ones who bail us out at 6 Pm on a Sunday when we need a part and don’t wanna wait lol.
