Rumor has it the Feds are leaving. (I don't believe it) Once Reid's name was brought up..Reid's son was dealing with the Chinese , so they could put up solar panels on that land..the story keeps changing imagine that.

It's not about taxes. It's well known locally that he has not paid grazing fees for ~20 years; he readily admits that plus it's public record.

Feds don't own the land (rightfully)they just think they can claim it without paying for it, he owes them nothing,He owes the state of Nevada, (not feds)for grazing that's his point here.

As far as I'm aware, the state of Nevada does not stand with this man. Our opinions don't pull much weight on this matter and as far as citing the Constitution, when state and federal law conflict, federal law is supreme. In twenty years of legal maneuvering by the Bundy legal group, I'm sure they have tried all sorts of reasons why he should not have to pay grazing fees like all of the other cattle farmers and it just hasn't worked out.

Let me state that I don't agree with the BLM tactics, but legally right now, he is in the wrong. He needs to continue his legal fight and not encourage a physical confrontation.

I don't know anything about open range rules, however it would seem that we have too many "jackboot" activities in the US these days. It is frustrating that the facts are so difficult to determine as the news adds another level of obscurity due to their own agendas. One thing for sure, if vast herds of buffalo did not wipe out the tortoise, I doubt that a few cows could... I would also not rule out some stinky deal by some fat cat politician, not like we can trust them. When you play by the rules, you do not like new rules being added.

This source stated that the retreat of the BLM agents and the release of the cattle was actually crafted as a potential plan yesterday (Friday, 11 April 2014) based on the following:

1. A military assessment of satellite and drone surveillance imagery of the “patriot resistance. Drones under the control of the U.S. military were in use, taking real-time photographic images of not just the activity at the ranch, but "identifying the protesters, any arms and any supplies they might have or be carrying. “Mission accomplished.”
2. Real-time communication intercepts between patriots on-site and their off-site support;
3. Active monitoring of internet traffic regarding the coverage of events at ranch;
4. The monitoring of real-time video from the scene.

This source stated that a response by the patriot movement was anticipated, although exceeded their expectations. Although this was a real operation, they also ran this as a test case for future government operations once they saw the response. They were also actively managing the media, in some cases threatening to cut off White House access to anyone covering the event.

Despite this, the coverage by the alternative media began to create a public relations problem that was not easily managed. Note the lack of acknowledgment by the White House regarding this event. They are intentionally framing it as a state issue, despite the fact that all federal response has been and continues to be from the White House. There is a reason for this – a reason that has not been identified in any of the public reports to date. I will explain in further detail in a follow-up report on Sunday, after this source attends [redacted] to obtain more specific information about future federal operations. Regardless, according to this source, the government will take back ‘their land’ as they must to fulfill international obligations. It was never about grazing rights or anything other than (1) “securing clear title” to the land, and (2) further demonizing any patriotic resistance. It is my understanding, based on the information from this source, that it is a critical task to create a situation that will also advance their agenda of gun control and confiscation.

from what I understand, my above point is true. it is public land, but the ranch has grazing and water rights from the founding of the territory.

there ya go. the guy probably should have the use of the land. and these bully tactics are beginning to make folks boil.

the big compound the BLM? USFS? built down there is more of a misuse of the land than grazing was.

That's Bull**** and you know it. Nazi troops were just following orders too. Any fed there following 'orders' to me is no different than the corrupt politicians running the show. One man and everyone from the Nv governor to all locals supported him. It was only A holes 2000 miles away who disagreed with him.

No it didn't because the same government trying to rid the west of ranchers is the one who massacred them. Please don't equate one rancher who's family has been there over a century to a colonizing murdering govt army. The ranchers for the most part had decent relationships with the Native Americans. It was the Army sent by the Govt who rounded them up and exterminated them. Not Clive Bundy.
