Fan switch mod info

I've got a buddy that has a hi compression 1397 that runs a little warm and we're looking for the info on using a honda temp switch to make the fan come on sooner. He does have a muzzy fan and engine ice but wants the added protection of the fan comming on at a lower temp .

I tried this mod today using the Honda temp sensor switch - first thing is the threads on the Honda switch are smaller - make sure you take the orig switch with you, so you dont end up with a spare you cant use or return (my fault I picked up the parts last fall and I'm just getting around to installing).

I have the Muzzy and Ice, and mine overheats if I hit heavy stop and go traffic in Cincinnati. I'm looking to install a direct lighted switch on the fairing (radio shack has nice flat lighted round rockers and I"ll keep a couple in the tool box if all goes well in case I need a relacement down the road).

Any idea on where to tie the switch in at?
