My busa's rpm jumps up and down while in idle... so i searched around on .org and found out it could be throttle body sync.. so i called in a local shop and was quoted $150 to throttle body sync.. is it fair price? And how much you guys think is fair for valve inspection or adjustment.. Thanks

Depends where you live and labor rates. Takes 1.5 to 2.0 hours.........

I was in Kragen and i heard the cashier talking to this other guy saying that you dont need to open the bike up to see if it needs valve adjustment. You can just hear the engine and tell if it needs to be adjusted... is this true?

Yes, a trained/experienced ear may be able to tell if the valves need to be adjusted.
