Exhaust Cans?

I have a stock 05 le. Im in the process of polishing out my stock cans. I was wandering if it is ok to run the bike without the cans or if it would do any damage to the engine.

You should be fine as long as it's not prolonged or heavy riding, in some cases you can burn valves, but it is rare. Sounds bad ass though.

Wow. I just Heard the sound of it without the exhaust and it sounds and it does sound bad ass!

As long as you are running the factory headers and midpipes, you should be fine running without the cans.

You should be ok, the stock mid pipes on the hayabusa are baffled.... I've made several "shorty" pipes for friends using the stock mid pipes.. looks good and sounds great!! Your primary length and the mid pipe length should prevent any valve issues.. Not saying it hasn't happened or won't, but the odds are in your favor....
