If you disconnect the battery on the 08 busa, do you have to reset anything like the power commander or make any other adjustments when you re-connect the battery?

You will have to reset your shift light. The PC will keep all the info.

I would just leave it hooked up and start the bike once a week or so. That is what i have done over the years, and it seems to work fine for me

Battery Tender Jr, and Stabil in the tank. Your Busa will start right up the next time you want to ride it. Just unplug and go.

Can't recommend the Battery Tender Jr enough. Comes with leads you can leave attached to the terminals so all you need to do is plug it in each time you park the bike. It'll add years to the life of your battery.

Just make sure when u start it weekly to let the bike reach its max operating temp before turning it off. I normally wait for the fan to kick in two times as a rule of thumb. Not letting it hit the normal temp is bad for your head gaskets. Flaming welcome!
