Difference between 99-01 & 02-07 Electrical?

I am wanting to run an 02-07 ECU on an 01, I was wondering what all would have to be changed if anything? Wiring harness? Wiring harness and a couple sensors?

you will need a 2002 and up rotor,
16 bit ecu vs a 32 bit ecu
Crank trigger may need to be reversed in polarity
If a Power commander is being used, it will need to be 02 and up

99/00 are the same, 01, then 02-07 are the same.

according to DaveO the polarity of the 99-00 crank trigger is swapped
I have never checked it, when I had a 00 harness still on my bike I swapped them when I went with my 2-5th harness they were all newer
