Did something REAL cool today

A real good friend of mine made something very cool, a scale model of a 12LB cannon. The thing is heavy, close to 100 lbs, and shoots golf balls.
We took it out to the golf course and shot across the lagoon. The best shot we got, was with 600 grains of 1F black powder, and went close to 1000 yards.
What a hoot!

I will hopefully have pics and video on tomorrow. The cannon is incredible, all hand made.

I shot a tater cannon once my mom took it form me cause i was shooting the dog house with them.. Dog did not live in it.

We used to make Polish cannons out of the old steel seamed beer cans and duct tape.

Yours sounds safer.

Yes, pics please. A video of it doing it's thing would be great too.
When I was in high school vo-tech the machine shop teacher made a small cannon, if I remember right the bore was 1/2" (.50 caliber) to shoot muzzle loader balls. We never got to see it work of course but it sure looked cool.
