Anybody have any advice on the hayabusa clutches? I am running a stock clutch with a MTC innerhub with a kibblewhite high pressure red springs. The problem is the first two or three launches are fine. I do leave some interval times between passes anywhere between 15-30 mins thus letting the clutch cool down, the problem I'm having is that the clutch is starting to chatter off the line. Which is a charactoristic problem with the hayabusa. It started to chatter last night at the track so I took it apart, the clutch was not bad but it was bone dry, so I out a different one in which had been soaking in oil and it worked fine but I only got to make a few more passes. Right now the oil I am running is called motorex, I have ran motul, mobil, and am going to try a 15w-50 motul. DOes anybody have any suggestions on this problem or am I just screwed?

For one I'd say your spring are too big to start with...?

You never want a dry clutch! They sure wont last long like that.

You may have something plugged off thats not letting oil to get to your cluth?

When your in the staging lanes before you go to the watter box, with your bike running lean it to the right so oil can lube & cool things off real well....

It's easy to pull your plates out and check them... See what everything looks like.

Frank, no there is nothing blocking it. And yes I've Tried the leaning over thing. The springs are the same diameter in length, I.D., and O.D., just about 25lbs more spring pressure. WHen I am at the races I have a little fan i purchused from snap-on the I blow on the clutch basket for the 15-20 mins that the bikes setting. I've talked to Brock about this thing about a month ago at the chicago prostar race and he had no insight at that time and I can't get ahold of him his numbers been disconneted. The brand of the oil is called MOTOREX from switzerland, Yosh sells it. Brock told me it was a pretty dessent oil. What next?

I have Brocks new phone number but he should be the one giving it out. He changed for a reson and I'm not sure why so we let him give it out if he wants to...

This is what I think you should try from experience....

If you have Hayabusa basket you should go to the stock springs!

Also, remove ALL the weight of your snowflake fingers.

Also, also....let Me know what condition your clutch plates are in?!!

This will help your situation I'm sure...!(unless your plates are bad)

There is one other thing we can try but I have to know that you done the others first.

Hi,
It could be a question of the oil. Don't use full synth. oil, try the motul oil (half synth) and maybe the problem could be solved.
