Chrome fairing grills screens problem

i tried every heat resistant chemical (300c resistable) but all of them turned milky , the upper parts and the tail parts are ok , but the part which is very near exhaust is a pain

which chemical are you using ?

I just used 100% silicone? So far no problems

By the way we have the same bike! Black & silver ...the fastest colors

1 min apox clear and it stayed clear for all the ones we have done. i get it at wal-mart for like 3 bucks, dual cylinder mix

I used a 2 part "metal" putty. You roll it between your fingers, then it gets warm and you can start to feel it harden. When it gets that point, roll it out into a thin strip and press is thru the screen onto the plastic. Let it set for about 30 minutes and it is as hard as metal. No dripping mess, no chance of epoxy running out on the plastic.

I used the epoxy putty & than put a small bead of Hi-Temp silicon all the way around. Going on Season 2 with no problems.

when i did mine i also used 100% silicone. but when i went to get it there was all kinds. so i started reading the back of the containers. some only had a service temp. of up to 100 degres and others were higher i found one with a service temp of 400 degres . if you got some with a low service temp it might melt like hot glue. just read the back. good luck

I just did mine last weekend. I used this stuff.
