1.0L,3 cyl, 5-speed, 345,000K, 55mpg ( I have a taller gearbox in it). It may have a chevy embelm but the whole car is Suzuki. Just goes to show Suzuki reliability.Change the oil and go. I have gone all over Canada and US with this thing. Im a suzuki guy for life now.

it is getting hard to find them, great gas mileage. The car was a winner. We need more like them-basic inexpensive transportation without hybrid technology. You won't have to buy batteries for thousands of dollars and pollute a landfill with the old ones.

Yeah i hear ya, A buddy and I put a trans with longer gearing in, my rpm's are the same at 112km/hr as they where when i first bought the car, going 100km/hr with stock gearing. Ive been to Nova Scotia and back six times with this thing, all one shot everytime.

I agree, we need more of these shyte beaters. I paid 9 grand plus tax brand new, thats less than a BUSA hahaha.

So whats this got 2 do with bikes?
:rulez:

It shows the great reliability of a small displacement Suzuki engine ( 2.9in bore X 3.0in Stroke) if you follow a proper maintenance schedule. Long live Suzuki.

HAHA yeah we do, not about to get rid of it though. Doesn't even burn oil yet. Probably go up to 400,000km and then retire it.

I think you need to give the bodywork some TLC to meet that goal. Do remember that a Busa has a frame. The GEO doesn't.

I know what you're saying though about the cars from the late 80s and early 90s. My brother had a Ford Festiva that got 55 MPG going 65-70 all day. Heck, my 1973 Datsun would get 40 MPG and it was a station wagon.

Can you say GEO? I rebuilt one of those engines and they are simple. If I could find one in good shape, I'd do my dangdest to buy it. I LIKE EM.

There's a reason those cars are gone. The XFi model was rated 58 mpg and many owners swear over 60 mpg on the highway. Price was in the $6K to $7K range.
Big Brother had to get rid of them in order to push these POS "green" hybrids on us at $25K+ and can't break out of the 40 mpg range. A new battery pack (which will puke in less than 10 years) will cost more than what that Geo sold for band new.

The car commercials over the past few years crack me up with all the bragging about how many models they have that get over 30 mpg! BFD...we've had cars since the 1960s that achieved over 30 mpg.
The first generation of Ritalin Retards are now adults and following the hybrid hype like good little sheeples. Go Green!
