Changing colored fairing pieces is super expensive.

I have a 2022 white Gen 3 with the navy blue matte accents ( side vents, seat trim, tail).
I love the blue vigor color on the 2023 model because it’s brighter and more vibrant.
So I looked into changing all 7 pieces. Holy smokes the total is over $1100 for the OEM pieces!
Just for some plastic that cost a few dollars to produce?

There are some aftermarket sources that are much cheaper but I’m concerned about fitment and color issues so I want to go OEM if I do this.

No question here, just ranting.

The thing that scares me is maybe you got lucky and I’ll end up with gaps and weird colors, and then how to send it back to China for a refund?

It’s a roll of the dice vs knowing up front everything will be fine.
They're probably all made in the same factory. Buy off eBay or Amazon. Probably easier to return. lol

You’re right, Amazon has a great return policy.
I should check them out a little more.

I went on the Revzilla website and looked at their schematic diagrams for Hayabusas.
Got all the part numbers there so I can order anywhere.

So I just went through Amazon with my parts list - next to nothing for OEM stuff.
eBay same thing

OneidaSuzuki has everything I need for less than anywhere else.
Parts total is $926 which is about $100 less than the stock prices, and less than the other Suzuki sites I've visited.

So far, they are the winner but generally speaking I still can't understand how expensive this stuff is.
I'm getting my taxes done on the 28th so hopefully...

Amazon has a full fairing kit for $719 in the pearl vigor blue color scheme I want but for $200 more I get the OEM stuff.

What did you get and where from?
From here on Amazon. Pretty sure they're all from the same place.

This is where i got the Chinese fairings from.
Amazon.com

As for the carbon pieces: from a few different places and they all have the same barcode on the back like the ones from Akoso carbon on Alibaba, Amazon, and Ebay. Recently, they've been cheapest on Amazon from NT fairing.

Also paying for the quality of the paint materials and the paint job. Quality prep of parts, quality paint(same paint mfg oem uses, not a less inferior brand to lower price as aftermarket uses) and other quality materials will also asure better adhesion to the plastics as a cheaper product or line may not adhere as good. If you have a robot painting parts in a controlled environment as mfg does results will almost always be the same and consistent every time vs human painting. Quality paint & materials are way more expensive than lower line brands and lines. :-)
