Changing colored fairing pieces is super expensive.

True about having to pay $$$ for good quality but I’ll wager Suzuki is still making bank even with their expensive manufacturing equipment costs factored in.

Could be that the US tariffs have something to do with it too.

Yoshimura told me the tariffs don't affect plastic products to much. I personally think it's the oem Suzuki name, although the quality is better than aftermarket. I've always chosen to paint my oem plastics, never have to worry about fitment.

Hmmmm… paint is a good idea too. I’ve never taken the fairing completely apart so that’s a little scary

Aftermarket kits are a cointoss on material, paint, and fitment. There are several folks on here who have had success, but I'm not one of them LOL! I don't have a show bike, so I'm willing to shrug off my issues for the hundreds of $$ I saved.
I got a full OEM replacement kit which was painted very well, but fitment was 7/10 and some parts cracked/warped in less than 6months. Replace the heat shielding if your new stuff doesn't have it! I think I bought from MonsterFairings or something similar...

That’s an idea too.
It would surely be much cheaper.

I bought fairing for my bike for a change of color and they were all the pieces ever the hump and all the black parts everything and I didnt find one piece that didnt match the oem fairing's. But mine is a 2004 but every piece was perfect. I got mine from Auctmarts. They 709.00 shipped to the door.

Getting back to the wrapping idea...remember I only want to change the 7 colored accent pieces, not the entire fairing, so maybe removing them and having them wrapped may be an option.
I'm working on sending my bike to Carpenter Racing ror some engine work right now so I gotta get that done first, then swing over to the fairing changes.

I have a 2022 white Gen 3 with the navy blue matte accents ( side vents, seat trim, tail).
I love the blue vigor color on the 2023 model because it’s brighter and more vibrant.
So I looked into changing all 7 pieces. Holy smokes the total is over $1100 for the OEM pieces!
Just for some plastic that cost a few dollars to produce?

There are some aftermarket sources that are much cheaper but I’m concerned about fitment and color issues so I want to go OEM if I do this.

No question here, just ranting.
Hi. That is why they make paint. Take the parts to a good body shop get a price for them to paint them.
