Chain for extended swingarm help.....

I just ordered a 10" over custom underbraced swingarm for my 07'. The shop told me I could use my stock chain and another put with it to save some cash. My questions are:

1. Is this going to cause any concerns?
2. Does the 07's come with O-ring chain stock?
3. The local stealership really doesn't have any answers because I'm not
going with their $1700 swingarm, so where would be best to get
a couple of master links to put the 2 together?
4. If I would buy an aftermarket chain, how many links would work on a
10" over swingarm?

I would hate to order a $150+ chain and it not be long enough. Seems like every store I call, they tell me that they don't have the answers.

Thanks!!!!

1 I wouldn't do it. Saving money up front could cost a bunch in the long run. Chains and master links are not always the same dimension when you start looking at the pins. You would need another OEM chain and need to locate the master links that are an exact match. The factory chain is marginal at best so you might as well step up to the plate and do it right.
2 Yes
3 See number 1
4 It should be 144 links with stock sprockets. I'd order a 150 link.

Thanks for the quick replies. Trying to get in touch with Charles from Street n Track Imports. The DRZ2 150 links black for $124 looks like an awesome deal!!!!! Do I need any special tools to cut it down and put it together?

Is this a Race bike or street bike?

you want a ZZZ or ZVX2 (both x-ring chains) on a Street bike.

Charles might have a rear line or ping Melissa at Cycle Brakes.
