I had nothing constructive to add. My issues with organized religion are my own. I need not post them here. I would rather keep rants to myself from now on. Last time I just ended up making an a$$ out of myself.

Well, you kinda hit the nail on the head here. Religion gets its hand caught very red but they are supposed to be the bastions of right acting and thinking. They are also supposed to have the power to change people so that they no longer go astray from morality.

So, when one of them blows a gasket, we get upset because hey! Aren't we supposed to be able to trust these guys? Not be abused by them because they are righteous? Nothing worse than being misused by someone who has a claim to godly trust. I'm sure that's my own basic reason for getting all hot and bothered about this kind of travesty.

And yeah, politicians are expected to be a-holes and they prove it over and over again. Both parties, too.

I'm angry about both deviant religious adherents AND politicians.

should you trust these guys? NO absolutley not. They are humans and subject to the exact same temptations you, I and the politcians are subject to. But that is a very common misconception people make... oh, preacher so and so is such a nice man, he'd never do wrong... the key word is MAN, not God. He's still just a guy TRYING to do better with his life - still an imperfect human.

Put your faith in MAN, you will always get let down at some point.

And don't shutup either! What is the point of your opinion if you keep it bottled up? I'm not right, your're not wrong, we're just chatting about something. Without words and conversation and opposing ideas, talking would be pointless. I think more people should voice their opinions. It helps everyone understand more. If I say something and 10 people jump me and I change my thinking, I could have been wrong in the first place and not realized it. If I stick to my guns, maybe I'm on to something few people have realized and it reinforces my own ideas legitimacy.

Never worry about what other people think. Realize your input has TONS of value because it is exclusively YOURS and no one else will ever see it exactly like you do. Share it like Art.
