What do you guys and gals think about the carbon fiber bars for the busa how durrable are the carbon bars

Carbonfiber is very durable if it is coated the withstand UV rays (ala BST wheels). If not it will become brittle over a period of years.

I asked and never got an answer,not worth the couple of ounces of weight savings in my opinion.

Just want to get rid of the silver on the top and leave it on the bottom only but would like to get rid of that too

I've had carbon fiber bars on my mountain bike for years and never had any durability problems at all and I've taken some major diggers.I know a mt bike is not a Hayabusa but the bars probably took more abuse than they would ever see on a motorcycle unless you were to go down.

The weight savings does not outweigh the risks you could possible come across. If you decide to do this mod I would do a lot of research on how the companies form the bars and what type of weave they use. You also need to look into what kind of coating they put over the carbon fiber to protect it from the sun and other things that could harm them.
