First time out on a new bike..
Just FYI you do know no track should kick you out on a busa for not having a kill swith. You let them know the bike has a 43 degree tip over switch built internally into it from the factory,it's in the nhra rulebook...you can also buy a lanyard and get a tiny self tapping screw and screw it into your on/off switch on your throttle side.

I will look in my new 08 NHRA rule book, but I would assume, the lanyard requirement's purpose is to cut the power in case the rider is off the bike.

Great. I am not suprised that a good exhaust really helped out... Only 2months before the track reopens...

we got a 05 up here...pipe,filter and 2 intakes at 105/105,pump fuel 176 hp on DJ250...pretty good power, for very little money..you can find intake cams on the busa boards for 75$ and under...worth the mod in my mind

I always try to build a engine for a broad powerband on a street engine so big cams and porting are out. I use as much compression as premium gas will allow. You want good low-midrange grunt on a street engine

i picked up HP everywhere over the stock stuff w/ the larger cam and the exhaust.. w/ just the cam and the muzzy sys i actually lost some down low.. but gained it back two fold w/ the alien head.. so it was a def. worthy mod for me.. i'd like to try a stroker motor after i'm through w/ this setup...
