I bought an 04 California Model last week and before I go tearing into things was curious if the great state has mandated anything other than a carbon cannister; specifically are there any lurking 02 sensors, super lean settings, air box intake sealed and the size of a soda straw?   Also the MCO stated the BHP rating at 173, same for 49 state bikes?    K&N Filter needed?  What else....

Not than I am aware of... however did you buy it new? Just wondered why Ca. bike if your in Az?

You allways call american suzuki they are in calif.

Its new.  Live in California as well, just that Arizona Highways are more conducive to ride than the LA Freeways, if one can get used to the heat.
