The Busa is a state-of-the-art hyperbike, circa 1999. It is still current, but it will begin to look dated before too long.
The GSXR-1000 will be a state-of-the-art literbike, circa 2001. If you do more track days, definitely get the 1000. If you do more highway riding, and want to be able to scorch the asphalt with some top-speed runs, the Busa is the weapon of choice, all 560 rock-steady lbs. of it.
