What is it with these huge German companies and their apparent desire to circumvent environmental regulations. First VW started with the "Diesel-Gate" scandal which cost them ~ 18 Billion dollars to sweep under the rug, now its BMW's turn. They just issued a Stop sale order for "some" of their motorcycles in the US. The article then states "“all new and pre-owned BMW motorcycle models in dealer inventory"! This going to cost them! The safety-crats/Environmentalists in Washington will sure be gnashing their teeth to get a piece of this action!

Kind of a so what sort of thing IMHO. The only concern is if you can't sell a privately owned bike. I'll be honest, it's going to have to be a hell of a problem to make me hate my 1250 GS.

K was different. The GS is the best bike I have ever owned, Busa included. K was the worst. Amazing they came from the same company!

I was thinking along the lines of how BMW handled the issue.....

I recall you getting a "stop riding" letter and it taking forever to fix the transmission so sort of the same situation just different problem.

Bit of an unfair comparison to a Busa, GS is a totally different platform. You should probably compare that to a V-Strom 1050XT for a true comparison. And yes it is way ahead, but you get what you pay for.
