Hey, fellas
took my new Busa out to a track day. Long story, short, ran off the track into the dirt, tried to ride it out, front end, plowed into the dirt and flipped over on its right side. Purely cosmetic, nothing structural damaged. My question, does any body have any suggestions for dealing with many superficial scratches in the clear coat?

P.S. I got back on the bike finished the session and continued on till the end of the day. Overall, it was awesome. I burned the tires all the way to the very edge, never once touched a feeler or dragged a knee. It was wonderful. Highly recommend it to learn the bike's capabilities and your own. Thank you

3M makes this rubbing compound rated "fine cut". It may help fad some of the deeper skratches, take out the lighter ones. Make sure to wax where U rubbed cuz rubbing exposes the clear coat.

Sorry to hear about it..

Which track did you take it to. I've been playing with the idea of taking my Busa along with me next Buttonwillow track day so I can sub it in for my Gixxer track bike a few sessions. I think it'd be a great skillz builder... not to mention fun

I asked that question to some of my buddies. How, is it that I can burn the tire edges and not put down a knee or touch the feeler? And his answer, since I only weigh 150 lbs, I'm not stressing the suspension like a heavier rider would. I thought the same thing, man, this is a contradiction in terms. But, imagine, if I had a touched a knee or feeler, I would have lost traction and would have low sided. Rafael
