Barrel spacer limits

Does anyone know how thick a barrel spacer can be used on a genII before you run out of chain adjustment on the tensioner?

What's a barrel spacer? ???

It's a spacing shim put under the cylinder barrels to get desired compression height with a given conrod/crank/piston combination.
