Back in the saddle after a few other bikes in between. Had an '08 back in the day 10+ years ago and just got back into a '18 turbo build.

Pretty torn on if I'm gonna roll race it all out or keep it canyon worthy since I live in Colorado but loving the bike so far. It's only got about 600 miles on the chassis and 3xx on the built motor so we'll see where it goes from here after the break in.

Cheers

Yes sir full carbon aside from the gas tank. I'm eventually gonna swap the black shell out for a carbon shell on it but it's so dark the black doesn't bother me much.

Also don't mind the tires they are still the stock set from 2018 this was the day I picked it up . I gotta get them off asap

Question about the red "Brembo" on the front calipers.
I want to do that to mine. How was that done? Decals? Powder coating?

Also, how much HP is that turbo putting out?

The calipers are actually factory, this is the actual color scheme it started as.

Right now it's making like 280 wheel. There's a lot more in it (setup is rated for 550) but I'm still on break in oil and stock wheel base with no drop so it's a handful.

In a straight line it's not very comparable. The BMW makes it easier to get out early because of the electronics and the quick shifter but once you're into 3rd-4th gear the Busa can start to put power down and will just walk away from essentially any liter bike. 1/8th mile with a hard launch the BMW probably has a shot but anything beyond that it's not even a race.

However, you can imagine the level of refinement and tech make things immediately switch as soon as a curve appears. The Busa can hold it's own in the corners being swb and stock height but it's no match in a canyon for the S1K.
