if mountain doest take the crashed busa ill take it so give me a #2 slip next in line haha.

sorry i took so long to get back

good news , i got some good pictures of the bike

the bad news is the insurance company is telling me if i take the bike i will have to pay the towing and storage

i think it is bullshit so i am trying to fight that

the guy at the body shop also said if i want to take it i have to pay the bill .storage is 25 bucks a day . it has been there 16 or 17 days OUCH!

i dont think it is fair for me to have to pay it so i am fighting with the insurance company . but if i do have to pay the towing and storage in order to take it then it probably wont be worth it for me to buy it back

i should know by the end of the day

ps the bike looked much better than i thought

You call that totaled? HA!

Too bad I'm not closer and didn't have other financial obligations. That'd make a good project (as if I don't already have one in the garage

totalled is normally if repairs exceed 70% of vehicle value.

I'd say they figured it worth about $9000.

Frame would be about $4300
panels would be about $500 per side
upper would be about $450
I think the tanks are like $700
stopping there labor to do complete tear down and rebuild would put you over the total and look at the other stuff damaged

As said before elsewhere, the adjuster has to know if he can take a chance with the motor also. New motor parts make new body parts look cheap.
crankshaft alone retails for like $700
