I'm a mid-pipe only man and i'm lookin for a way to "rebuild" my torque. I was thinkin of goin with just a 44T rear sprocket and be done with it but I see so many people advocate the 16/43 set up. Now I do a decent bit of highway riding but want more balls on the low end than stock, not just to make up for what i lost with running just mid-pipes. Wouldn't a 44T be the same as runnin 16/43? I'll probly hit up streetntrack for the stuff once i'm ready

No way a 44 is the same as 16/43..
16/43 is gunna be waayyy more aggressive

(redkat05 @ Feb. 05 2007,17:57) whats the rpm's like in 6th gear at highway speed?
I'd like to know that too since I'm going with a 16/42 and do a lot of interstate riding to get to the mountains.
