I suspected this from the start and gave my opinion several times.

Often also voice my opinion about ECU flashes, and what a proper detailed dyno tune should focus on, other than performance only.

Not the original incident posted here, but a bad flash can destroy a motor.

I good flash should not only improve power, if it goes with a pipe allowing more flow, there should be a slight improvement in gas consumption, showing that the tuner did everything needed.

I guess this closes this chapter.

This is why I'm sticking with the stock tune after I install my full Akro. Information from other gen 3 owners running a full Akro on an OEM tune suggests there are no running problems, such as leaning out or loss of power. Apparently, if you install a full system on the 2025 model it throws an "O2" CEL (due to Euro 5+ crap). I've got a Woolich logbox so if I get a CEL I'll flash it away. If I do eventually get a tune, it'll be bespoke via a reputable company, not a mail in job.

Not the first Gen 3 to have this issue......A tune wouldn't blow the crank bearing but an oiling issue would.....the OP had his tuned through MT Moto.

I would wager Moore Mafia has tuned more bikes than most other places.........I wonder how have many had issues as a result of his tunes?

I had mine tuned through him and it works flawlessly......my bike was originally dyno'd using the Bazzaz system and I was able to retrieve the map it was tuned through although Chris Moore enhanced the tune for me.....

How many bikes on this forum have been tuned through Moore Mafia and are running fine?

I’ve had 2 dyno tuned Gen3s and a flashed 750 all with zero issues. Still have one if the Gen3s and running strong.

Exactly......there are lots of isolated issues which are occurring that can't be directly pointed towards ECU flashing or tuning.....

How many bikes have their ECUs flashed around the world and how many have suffered this sort of issue (crank bearing failure) as a result of the ECU being flashed or tuned?

The flashes used to be just basically turning on what the factory had turned off.
Most bikes got more lower rpm timing, the top speed limiter removed, the fans on sooner, and secondary throttle plates and their fueling set to be more efficient(not the air/fuel ratio).
It became possible with these flashes to also adjust the air/fuel ratio, of course on a dyno or data-logger.
And, if you had a Good dyno-tune on this model with these mods, it became a good base map for the same bikes with the same mods.
The problems started showing up when people, or even supposed 'tuners' started adjusting the air/fuel without fully knowing what they were doing...and bad things happened.
I flashed around 3 dozen Gen2's, including about 5 B-kings, along with several Gsxr's, and I Never touched the air/fuel ratio, or had any problems.
I know that you and the core group here know that anyway, but it seems in this case, that someone fubarred the air/fuel.
I also don't doubt that Suzuki just built some junk, with bad parts, and/or assembly, as we see all the issues that the Gen3 has had, which sadly continues to carry over to the next model year, again and again.
I still kind of want a Gen3...but I just can't bring myself to buy an expensive new bike...that comes with used bike problems...
