It was flight 1549 heading to Charlotte out of LaGuardia.. The only reason I joked about it is because it was quickly announced that everybody got off safely.
Whoever that pilot is, he's a hero. There's not a lot of space to maneuver a dead airliner between Manhattan and New Jersey, while not taking out a boat or two while you're at it. A miracle.
The tail is in the water now but the word is that everybody was evacuated before it sank. The fuselage section forward of the wings is still up clear of the water
