87 Octane w/octane booster

Hey all,

Here in the North Georgia area, there is no premium, or mid-grade fuel. If there is I haven't found it yet.

I had to put 87 Octane with "104+ Octane Booster" in my K8 Busa. Plan on draining it out if I find some premium fuel to put in her.

I have never done this before. But it is a done deal now.

Thoughts, comments, ideas, Good idea, bad idea?

It was this or no riding for now.

Anyone HAD to do this before?

I don'tthink it'll hurt the bike at all...even with the octane boost it still may not run as smooth at it should but sputtering wheels are better than no wheels

good question. funny this popped up. I just got back from my engine builder and he asked me what gas I use. I told him i use 89. He told me to only use 93 or higher. (mine has 1397 kit). I asked him if I should just put some booster in it. He said he puts it in his bike alot but Mark the shop owner doesnt. So I left there with the asumption that it's okay.

Premium is what they say to use, but you will be fine with the
87 and the octane booster

i only use 87 octane. no problems to speak of here. bike has 6000 miles

Thanks for all the input. I will still change the gas out if I find ome premium today.
