Howdy Ya'll.
2012 with 6k miles having electrical issue. Turns off when turning and had it do this at speed no turn. Deleted kickstand switch and still doing it, actually seems worse. When I say turns off, its a power blink all, electrics blink off and then on, will not do a rolling start, have to hit starter button?
Help! I am a loss on this one.
I don't know how to get codes either but I have had zero issues until this.
I am in San Antonio, Texas

Has the bike had any maintenance or modifications lately? Battery terminals tight? I may refer to others about the symptoms but is the tip-over still mounted?

What has changed recently? f you just deleted the kick stand switch double check your wiring. One issue I have seen with the Gen2 is the main plug behind the gauge cluster. Ensure it is fully seated, although I don't remember that killing a running bike, just all light and gauges.

Thank you for the help guys!!!!
Yes it was my battery connection being loose, installed a new battery 8/20 so 9 months of vibrations took its toll. (check the obvious, yeah I am humbled here...lol)
Only mods so far on my bike are slip on M4's, -3 rear sprocket and new chain. I am going to get it flashed and tuned soonish (budget dependent) and am planning on doing the Texas Mile in Oct (again budget dependent).
Any suggestions on tires Z rated? I am currently running PR5's and given I ride daily in 100+ heat I am looking for a harder compound tire that will last more than a couple thousand miles.

Hi. Have you ever done the Texas mile? When your speedo reads 200 MPH you are only going 183 MPH also the tack is about 600 to 800 RPM low. You have to be able to pull red line +800 RPM can you do that with the -3 on the rear? I will be running 20 front 38 rear with a 200/60/17 and over drive 5th and 6th with a 13500 read line.

No haven't done it yet, I'm taking bike to black widow power sports for flash and tune John seem to be pretty good. I'm running 18/40 and with flash the math says I should be able to push over 200.

what i would rcommend is a "full" maintenance following this, my, extended & summrized maintenance-sheet. (a pdf 4 download)

then question about the tires?
are you asking for a manufacturer / type
or the size in the rear?

manufacturer - at the end - is up to your "taste"

size in the rear is the question what you want.

- show bike? the more money you spend the wider you can get the tire - up to 300 (or so)

- corners / rob curves at country roads? see this page and the drawing (a pdf 4 download) at its end what tells you the less wide a tire is the more agility you win.
as the last step i personally downgraded - at my ´00 - the rear completely from standard 6x17 & 190/50 to 5.5x17 & 180/55
(before this "downgrade" i droped my ´00 busa´s front 15mm and rose its rear 20mm in combin. with a 760mm wide superbike bar)

for more answers aside the manual see the entire page - there i collected all experiances and hints there.
(soory for some weird translations - a kind of fault by the google-translator)
