I went to launch last night of the much awaited 2008 Busa. (I ride an 03) The bike was black with gold decals and having followed this forum for some time now there was much excitement to see it in the flesh. I can only say I'm dissapointed, perhaps I was anticipating much more, perhaps the colour just didn't do it for me, but it seemed to lack character. Would I now sell the 03, no way! An interesting point is that the 1st bike was auctioned off at 170K which equated to USD 25K. I think the after market exhaust boys will make a fortune in replacement of the standard pipes. My pennies worth....

My '05 isn't going anywhere. Not because I have anything against the '08, but because the '05s are the fastest of the Gen-1 Busas.

The cans in person are enormous. Visually they're worse than the tail section! I can't understand the styling decision by Suzuki.
The front half looks really good too.
I know the technical freshening probably makes it better (read: faster with better brakes) than my '05, but I don't feel the urge to trade.
I did see an M109 while I was there that got me thinking. And I'm not a cruiser guy!
