17 hour ride in one day

4 hours Friday night then 17 hours Saturday. I was a motorcycle jockey for a bicycle fundraiser for MS. Cyclists rode 150 kms while my friends and I patrolled the route. Fixing broken bikes, patching up scraped knees, dealing with heat stroke and exhaustion. Together we raised over 1.3 million for the fight to end MS.

To be fair there was meals, hydration, lots of short breaks. And after the 4hour ride home I could lay in bed and still feel the bike humming beneath me. I think next year I will take another day to come home.

My hat's off to you, the days of my being able to do that is far behind me sadly...it is good to have people like you (and others) to live vicariously through.
