16/42 gear

17-40,2.352=186
16-42,2.625=10.4 percent gear reduction
186 times 89.6=166.656 ad slip and this number will be even lower

17-40,2.352=186
is only because you dont reach max rpm without a TRE
17-40 is actually good for around 198mph if you can reach max rpm

this might help

you need to factor in variables such as wind, tire wear, if your fat, if your jackets balloons full of air

gear calculaters live in a perfect world where there is no slip, and you are making enough power to go a given speed

i was also looking for the best tire but there r so many out there that i don't know what to get... any ideas???
i got some Z6 sports touring tire on there now but i realy don't like them much..

milage doesn't really matter to me...i really just want something that is good..and Pirelli Diablos
was what i was thinking...is that what u run on your bike ?

"Battlax BT 010 up front and a  BT 020 out back
Bridgstone Battlax's...a sport compound up front, and a touring compound out back"
rubbersidedown
I found this doing a search
sounds like a good combo for average rider
